Webinar on drug testing trends

Tracking the trends: insights from the Drug Testing IndexTM

The Quest Diagnostics Drug Testing Index is arguably the industry’s longest standing, most frequently relied upon resource for drug use patterns within the American workforce. Our presenter, Dr. Barry Sample, Director of Science and Technology, Quest Diagnostics, is responsible gathering, publishing and interpreting the trends found within the data. Key findings include:

  • The percentage of positive drug tests among American workers has increased for the first time in more than a decade, fueled by a rise in marijuana and amphetamines
  • Marijuana positivity increases 6.2 percent nationally in urine drug tests, but by double digits in Colorado and Washington
  • Detection of recent usage of marijuana continues to increase significantly in oral fluid drug testing
  • Methamphetamine positivity increases across all drug testing types
  • Oxycodone positivity declines for the second consecutive year

The “Tracking the Trends: Insights from the Drug Testing Index” webinar discusses the latest drug test positivity data by workforce type, testing reason, drug category and specimen type.
